The development of a reliable power filter is essential for meeting the need high-quality power. Current and voltage harmonics are major contributor to poor quality must be eliminated. Shunt active filters (SAPFs) can installed reduce negative effects harmonics. Fuzzy logic proportional integral (PI) controllers excel at regulating DC link in shunt (SAPFs). This research assessed how well Particle Swarm Optimization controls Active Power Filter (SAPF), thereby mitigating appropriate PI control parameters first determined using technique. PSO-tuned combined with fuzzy controller SAPF simulation. It has been demonstrated simulations that (SAPF) reference currents generated accordance instantaneous real reactive (p-q) theory, employing PSO -PI diode rectifier type non-linear load. extremely effective harmonic correction distribution networks. simulation work carried out MATLAB-SIMULINK.
